The newest energy source is wind power.   The energy companies have come to realize that the wind is a renewable resource.   To help with the cost of energy, other solutions had to be found.  In the panhandle of Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado energy companies have begun to build windmills. The windmills are linked to grids and transponders which lead back to the main power source.  

Although wind power has been around for a while, the companies have to get the landowners to agree to easements for the windmills to be built. This same energy source is being used on a smaller scale for home owners.  In the version for homeowners the grid is attached to the house.  If the windmill produces more wind than what is needed then it can be sold back to the energy companies.  This is a good source for people who live in areas of that are subject to quite a bit of wind.

The wind farms that are being built are being given tax incentives by certain states.  In some states, the landowners are receiving energy discounts from the energy companies for allowing the windmills.  Wind energy is just one of the new energy sources that are becoming available.  Wind energy may be harvested in several different ways.  With the price of fossil energy every increasing this type of energy is needed and will continue to be invaluable.
